BEHIND THE WORK

We are Filipe and Catia, two wedding photographers with a shared eye, based in Portugal. Focused on Porto and the Douro Valley, and available in Lisbon, we photograph weddings and destination weddings across Portugal for both local and international couples.

We approach weddings the way we approach any body of work: with intention, restraint, and respect. Our aesthetic is editorial, built on composition and quietly bold choices. We guide gently, so you look incredible without feeling posed. Honest means we photograph the parts people usually edit out. The in between and the unguarded. A photograph can be incredible even when someone is eating, crying, or pulling a face. That is where you recognise yourselves. And we curate hard. We don’t deliver everything. We deliver what has presence, images that hold up over time.

On the day, we’re calm, clear, and gently directive. You won’t be left guessing what to do, but you also won’t be pushed into anything that isn’t you. We guide posture, hands, and pace in a way that feels natural, so the images stay composed without becoming staged. We know when to step in and when to step back, so the day stays yours.

We work best with couples who are not looking for cookie cutter. Couples who value intention over volume, and care more about taste and presence than sheer quantity.
